Camping II painting unveiled at DIT Grangegorman
I was delighted an honured that my painting Camping II was recently purchased for Dublin Institute of Technololgy campus at Grangegorman by the family of the late Eileen Fitzpatrick in her memory and to honour her contribution to the development of Career Services at DIT. The unveiling was conducted by John O’Connor, Director and Dean of the College of Arts and Tourism and Stephen Lawlor, husband of the late Eileen Fitzpatrick.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Eileen’s husband Stephen said he particularly appreciated that Eileen’s memory was not only being honoured by the beautiful painting which he helped to unveil, but also by the continuation of her work in supporting students so that they can be prepared to live a fulfilling life. Introducing the painting, Kieran Corcoran, Head of the School of Creative Arts, told the group that Claire was an exceptional DIT graduate of Fine Art who has had a continuous record of exhibition since completing her degree and is one its most respected graduates of Fine Art.
