The Palimpsest/ Rianú Project
at The Pearse Museum was officially launched by Mr. Simon Harris T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform with special responsibility for the Office of Public Works on Saturday 6th September. Following on from the presentation of this collaborative art project at Artisterium VI in Tbilisi in October 2013 and at An Gailearaí, Gweedore in July 2014 the eight participating artists were invited to create an individual artwork responding directly to the themes and context of The Pearse Museum. The eight participating artists were: Colin Martin ARHA, Brian Fay, Mary A.Fitzgerald, Claire Halpin, Eoin Mac Lochlainn, Aoife McGarrigle, Kate Murphy and Nuala Ní Fhlathúin. The Palimpsest/ Rianú Project is curated by Claire Halpin and Eoin Mac Lochlainn.

The exhibition continues at The Pearse Museum until 30th August. We are planning to programme an artist talk as part of the exhibition in November. Details to follow.
